Father Predrag Samardzic

Father Predrag Samadžić was born in Visoko, Central Bosnia to a large family which originates from Old Montenegro-Herzegovina.  They ate the bread of their own efforts, and have never had a relationship with the Communist Party.

Father Predrag Samadžić completed the theological high school at the monastery Krka and studied further in Paris, Jerusalem, and Belgrade.

For a deeper understanding of theology, Fr. Predrag Samadžić studied the relevant languages, paleography, archeology, and Biblical Judaism which made him qualified to successfully protect the doctoral thesis in Biblical Sciences.

Father Predrag Samadžić has written several books and scientific articles, mainly focused on theological content. He translates theological texts from the following languages: Hebrew, Greek, French, and Russian.

Fr. Predrag has served as a deacon and a priest at St. Sava Monastery in Libertyville, St. Sava Cathedral in Milwuakee, and several Chicago churches. 

Working in the above-mentioned communities, Fr. Predrag, has gained field-specific liturgical and pastoral experience in the Living Church, the Church which is facing a multi-layered challenges.

Fr. Predrag brings this extensive experience with him to the parish of Saint George in Mount Pleasant.
